2017 Fundraising Gala SPERANZA – Event Photos

On Saturday, April 1, 2017, A Touch of Love and Hope Foundation hosted its 2nd. Fundraising Gala SPERANZA. About 300 participants enjoyed an eventful and glorious evening at the Riviera Parque in Vaughan. The evening began with a welcome address by John Di Marco, followed by National Anthems and famous Arias by Tenor Michael Nasato. A silent Auction, Raffle, and a 50/50 Lottery were held to support A Touch of Love and Hope Foundation in bringing people together to improve human lives within our global and local communities.

Geraldine Di Marco thanked the Ontario and Canadian Governments for two grants the Organization received in 2016/17 during an Awards Presentation, with the assistance of Co-Founder, John Di Marco; Honorary Gala Patrons: Deputy Mayor of the City of Vaughan, Michael Di Biase and Regional Councillor of the City of Vaughan, Gino Rosati.

Geraldine recognized and thanked three Corporate Sponsors: CIBC; Beaver Valley Stone Limited; Toro Aluminum and two long-time Benefactors: Lady York Foods and BBM Excavation, as well as recognition to the Gala Patrons. Geraldine then went on to report the achievements and direction of A Touch of Love and Hope Foundation’s growth. Las Vegas Show Girls Dancers entertained attendees during the traditional Italian dinner. Guests danced the night away to the famous Tony Silvani Band. Among the distinguished guests were: MP. for Vaughan-Woodbridge, Francesco Sorbara; MP for King-Vaughan, Deb Schulte; Ontario Minister of Citizen and Immigration, The Honorable Laura Albanese; Deputy Mayor, City of Vaughan, Michael Di Biase; Regional Councillor, City of Vaughan, Gino Rosati; Dominica’s Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Vince Henderson; Dominica’s trade and Investment Commissioner in Canada, Frances Delsol and Senior Major Gifts Officer, Mackenzie Health Foundation, Tammy Bucci.
